Mow Cop Luncheon Club

A good afternoon to all my fellow Mow Copian’s up here. My name is Kacey and I have lived on Primitive Street for the last 14 years; most of you more than likely know my little miniature Schnauzer Willow more than you know me 😉 But I just wanted to say a huge hello and offer an warm invitation as I have just started to run the Luncheon Club at the lovely Mow Cop Methodist church situated on Primitive Street.

This week we had 12 lovely people pop along to our quaint community gathering. Yet anyone is more than welcome to drop in between 11-2:30pm every Tuesday, where my wife and I will be serving tea, coffee, biscuits, followed by homemade soup and a roll, and a fellow local resident will be making homemade puddings; this week Myra made a lovely trifle and strawberry sponge cake as seen in the slideshow above 😋.

For those of you who are interested we are going to start serving food at around midday and finish serving at 2pm. All we ask in return is for a kind donation in the region of £3.50 so that we may continue to purchase food each week to keep the group running.

We do hope that down the line, as more people attend, to put on some form of social entertainment such as bingo, musicians, speakers- any suggestions are always welcome. Our heart is to bring the community together and offer something to those feeling isolated and marginalized during the week.

So if you are interested in having some fun fellowship, yummy food, and a simple meet and greet with other lovely people in our most wonderful community why not pop along as we would love to give you a big warm welcome (or give me a pm if you require further information, even if you are struggling for a lift).

Any advance notice is always helpful as it lets my wife and I know the sort of numbers we are catering for each week.

To that end, I thank you all for your time, and look forward to seeing you in the future 😀
